How To Make A Deposit

AffinityPlus Credit Union provides multiple options for members to make deposits to their Credit Union account.

IN PERSON

Visit any of our three convenient branches, and our tellers will be happy to help you with your deposit.

Deposits can also be made to your primary share account at any SurePay Outlet island-wide. You will need to provide your member account number to facilitate.

ONLINE DEPOSITS

There are many ways to digitally transfer funds to your Credit Union primary share account. You can utilise our RTP Instant Transfer Service, SurePay, bill payment platforms from other financial institutions, as well as local and international wire transfer.

SurePay Online

To transfer funds through SurePay’s online bill payment portal, use the following steps:

  • Select the AffinityPlus Credit Union as the biller.

  • Input your  4- or 5-digit member account number, followed by a dash, and then the text S, zero, zero (S00), insert another dash, and then the number 32. There should be no spaces between the numbers, dashes, and text, and it should look like the sequence of numbers below.

    • 00000-S00-32 (*sample number)

  • Indicate how much you are paying to your account and then follow the remaining steps detailed to complete your transaction.

Other Financial Institutions

There are several different ways to transfer money to your AffinityPlus Credit Union primary share account from a Commercial Bank or another select Credit Union.

It usually takes at most, two business days for the transferred money to be allocated to your AffinityPlus Credit Union account, and funds can be transferred to your desired AffinityPlus Credit Union share account using our SMARTNet Online Banking Platform.

Deposit Through Real Time Payments (RTP)

Transfer funds instantly into your AffinityPlus Membership Prime Account, using our RTP service. It allows you to receive and send money instantly at any time. No waiting. No delays. Just immediate access to your funds when you need them most. To send funds to AffinityPlus, follow the below steps:

  • Use your AffinityPlus account number to set up RTP transfers at participating banks or credit unions. You can also share your account number with individuals who need to send you money.

  • Funds are sent instantly to your Membership Prime (SO) account

  • Use our SMARTNet Online Banking Portal or App to track or transfer funds to another AffinityPlus savings account

  • Track and make internal transfers using the SMARTNet Online Banking Portal or app

Deposit Through Bill Payment

AffinityPlus Credit Union is listed as an Authorized Biller on the bill payment platforms of the following financial institutions:

CIBC Caribbean

  • Select Bill Pay from the menu options.

  • If it’s your first time:

    • Add the AffinityPlus Credit Union Ltd. as a new biller from the list of billers (Do not select  Barbados Workers Union)

    • Complete the Register A Bill form using your regular AffinityPlus Credit Union member account number, and you should receive a notification of a successful registration.

    • Proceed with your transfer.

  • Select AffinityPlus Credit Union Ltd. and transfer desired funds to your AffinityPlus Credit Union primary share account.

  • Transferred funds will be in your AffinityPlus Credit Union account within two business working days. You can then transfer funds to your preferred AffinityPlus Credit Union share account. 

Barbados Public Workers Credit Union | COB Credit Union | First Citizens | Sagicor Bank

These financial institutions (FIs) use a bill payment platform powered by SurePay, which requires a special addition to your AffinityPlus Credit Union Member Account number to be recognized. Follow the directions listed below.

  • Select the bill payment option within the FI’s online banking portal.

  • Add AffinityPlus Credit Union as a new biller from the list of billers.

  • Complete the necessary registration form and use this special format for your account number.

    • Input your  4- or 5-digit member account number, followed by a dash and then the text S, zero, zero (S00), insert another dash and then the number 32. There should be no spaces between the numbers, dashes and text and It should be like the sequence of numbers below.

      • 00000-S00-32 (*sample number)

  • Once the registration is completed successfully, you can then transfer desired funds to your AffinityPlus Credit Union primary share account.

  • Transferred funds will be in your AffinityPlus Credit Union account within two business working days. You can then transfer funds to your preferred AffinityPlus Credit Union share account.

Deposit Through Wire Transfer

Wire transfers can be made locally and internationally, find your respective bank and follow the directions detailed.

Republic Bank 

Complete the online form to transfer funds using the following details:

  • Receiving Bank Name:  Republic Bank (Barbados) Limited

  • Receiving Bank Address:  Broad Street, St. Michael, Barbados

  • Receiving Bank Swift Code: BNBABBBB

  • Receiving Bank Transit:  40055 (Branch Code)

  • Beneficiary Name: AffinityPlus Credit Union Limited.

  • Beneficiary Address: Corner Fairchild and Nelson Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael

  • Beneficiary A/C#: 018330772001 

On completion of transfer, to ensure the timely remittance of funds to your credit union account, you are required to send an email to externalpayroll@affinityplusbb.com indicating the following:

  •  Sender’s name (optional)

  • Amount of local currency

  • Transaction ID / Reference number

  • CIBC FCIB account number where funds were remitted

  • Name of the Credit Union member

  • Account number of the Credit Union member

  • Date of transaction 

Please note that a mandatory fee of BDS $10.00 will be charged on receipt of all incoming international wire transfers.

SAGICOR BANK

Complete the online form to transfer funds using the following details:

  • Receiving Bank Name: Sagicor Bank (Barbados) Limited

  • Receiving Bank Address: Worthing Corporate Centre, Worthing, Christ Church, Barbados

  • Receiving Bank Swift Code: SBBLBBBB

  • Beneficiary Name: AffinityPlus Credit Union Limited

  • Beneficiary Address: Walcott Brooks Building, Cnr Fairchild and Nelson Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael

  • Beneficiary A/C#: 1510001320

  • Comments/Description: For further credit to [member’s name] and [Credit Union A/C#]

On completion of the transfer, kindly send an email to externalpayroll@affinityplusbb.com indicating the following:

  • Sender’s name (optional)

  • Amount of local currency

  • Transaction ID / Reference number

  • CIBC FCIB account number where funds were remitted

  • Name of the Credit Union member

  • Account number of the Credit Union member

  • Date of transaction

Wire Fees

Outgoing International Wire (CARICOM) - $60.00

Outgoing International Wire (Other) - $75.00

** The above is required to ensure timely remittance of funds to your Credit Union account. **

Please note that a mandatory fee of BDS $20.00 will be charged on receipt of all incoming international wire transfers

Complete the online form to transfer funds using the following details:

  • Amount of local currency

  • Name of the Credit Union member

  • Account number of the Credit Union member

  • Date of transaction
